Custom work is our speciality. All the styles listed on the site are there as inspiration for you to customise and make your own, you can alter the shape in some cases, select a wasp waist or hourglass cut, change the fabrics, colours and trimmings from our wide selections, and then provide us with your measurements so we can create a corset that is beautifully crafted, unique to you and made with the love and attention you have come to expect from us. If your vision is not already represented then simply send us some inspiration of your own to see just what we’re capable of.
We certainly do. We get more orders from male clients than you might expect! Wether you’re looking for a classic sturdy training corset, a fetish piece, or a feminised style then we can help you out. Our service is very discreet, understanding and encompasses all desires and needs. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas!
Yes. All of our traditional style overbusts and underbusts are built to the specifications of waist training corsets, including waist tapes, extensive steel boning, option of more rigid and controlling busks, and boned modesty panels. However we do recommend discussing your training needs with us prior to ordering as we may have a suggestion of a more appropriate style for you. Please note that our ribbon corsets are NOT standard trainers, but are recommended for use as night-time corsets with a 24/7 training regime.
Our courses are held in our Shrewsbury studio, in Shropshire. Dates do vary depending on the length of course you wish to attend, whether you want solo or group tuition and the time of year, so if you’re interested please email us with an indication of your preferred dates and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you are buying your corset specifically for a deadline its important that you discuss your needs with us before you order. We are almost always able to meet realistic deadlines but at busy times of the year it may not be possible. Each corset is made from scratch to your unique specifications, so as an example, there may be delays for specialist fabrics to be delivered from overseas, but our aim is to post your corset within 4 weeks of receiving your finalised decisions. Please note that some styles require a mock-up check, which can add to the length of time taken to make the corset if it needs to be posted abroad. Overseas shipping times will also need to be factored in.
We can work with the majority of non stretch materials. If you are sourcing your own top fabric then safe bets are things like heavy weight satin (duchess or similar) silk dupion, taffeta, cotton, coutil and upholstery fabrics. It is essential that we are given a good sized sample to confirm the cloths suitability before proceding with the order.
Our first recommendation would be joining some of the wonderful free forums on online communities like LiveJournal and Yahoo! Chat to other corset wearers about their experiences and think about what you want to gain from wearing a corset. If you are not 100% sure but want to dip your toe in the water, our ribbon corsets are a great, affordable place to start. They are nice and light, but still supportive and give you a clear impression of how they can change your figure and posture without the outlay and rigidity of a full corset. If you are sure that you’re ready to begin your journey then an underbust style such as the Montague or Nouveau would provide you with a comfortable, well-tailored and attractive corset to start your collection!
Absolutely. We have a global customer base, and are more than used to dealing with overseas exchange of mock-ups and samples! However please note that due to the terminology and in-depth process of ordering a corset, its essential that you have a good understanding of English.
In theory, this is not a problem. We will need to see a sample before we confirm just to make sure that its suitable (please read “what fabrics can you work with” above) but in most cases we can easily accomodate your choices.
We send you full instructions to help you get a perfect set of measurements, but for an overbust corset we would usually need the following-
Centre bust, cup size, underbust, mid ribs, natural waist, waist reduction amount, hip bone and hips at base of corset.
We would also need the vertical lengths between these, so-
Centre bust to underbust, Underbust to mid ribs, Mid ribs to waist, Waist to hip bone, Hip bone to hips at base of corset, Waist to lap when seated, Waist to tops of thighs when seated.
Specialist styles may require additional measurements. We are always on hand to help with any problems that may arise!
Clients are more than welcome to come for a consultation or fitting in person at our lovely studio in the centre of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This is a great opportunity for you to browse through fabrics that aren’t listed on the site, and to play around with trimmings. We charge £30 for this service, which allows you up to 3 hours to satisfy all your questions and concerns! Please give us advance notice of the dates you would like to book, as we do have a busy schedule.
We are always very happy to offer our thoughts on your best choice of style. Just email us with your preferred style choice, any special requirements you may have, your intentions for wearing the corset (waist training, special occasions etc) and a brief description of your figure type, eg, curvy with full hips, small busted with a larger waist etc.
Many of our clients come to us on recommendation from a medical practitioner, and find great relief and improvement from a properly designed and fitted corset. However we do insist that you discuss this with a doctor before ordering, as you may have other health complications that make corsets an impractical choice for you.
You will receive care instructions with your order, but NO! Please do not wash your corset, even by hand. For small stains, spot clean with a well wrung out damp cloth and to keep it fresh, alternate your corsets when in daily training, and air them out overnight over the back of a chair or over the bed stead, using febreze occasionally. You can dry clean your corsets for more persistent stains.
