Most people opt for this corsetry course because it gives the learner plenty of time to acquaint themselves with all the new techniques and processes, and to absorb all the information at their own speed. If you feel you would like an extra day on top to either spread the work out a little more, or to brush up some fancy techniques then look at our four-day “advanced” course as well!

Our UK corset making courses are going from strength to strength after many years of teaching people of all abilities. It is a rare and exciting oppurtunity tolearn the craft under the watchful eye of an active and working corsetiere. We have worked with fashion graduates, burlesque dancers, writers of erotica, accountants, hairdressers, students, nurses, barristers and dress makers. Our students come from all over the UK and Europe, from France, Corfu, and Ireland! All leave with a beautiful hand crafted corset that they made from scratch, with pride and love.

We run courses of one to three days in length, in a group or one to one with an experienced corsetiere where you can learn to make your own real steel boned corset. You don’t need to be an expert seamstress, if you have basic sewing skills on a machine then you are quite qualified! On the other hand, as we cater our courses to the students abilities, advanced students can attempt more complex pattern techniques, try their hand at four layer corsetry and learn finer details of sizing or just some professional finishes!

We are based in the centre of Shrewsbury, in Shropshire, with great travel links to Birmingham, Manchester and London for easy access. When you’re not stitching away, Shrewsbury has a great deal of varied and interesting night life for you to enjoy, with many lovely places to go for an evening meal and a choice of welcoming hotels and B&B’s.

If our pre booked courses don’t suit your holiday times then you may wish to join us for one on one tuition. This is also a great option if you feel you need more direct support or just might need a bit more personal attention, for instance, its been a long time since you started a sewing project, or you don’t feel confident in your abilities to keep up with a group. Our most popular, the 3 day beginners course, is £280, where you will receive undivided attention and work at your own speed with a professional on hand at every turn!
